Independence Day: barbecues in bardo on Bernal Hill with a live soundtrack by Pt. Conception. Hawk Escape performed a special song with Pt. Conception, titled "Mushroom Tea." The performance was followed by a Rush Limbo contest. A quick speed-walk up the street led us to the dirt combe, which rivaled Struggle Hill; most of the group conquered it, though nausea soon followed for some. Kelly created our spirit animal head dresses ranging from pterodactyls to ticks. The head dresses seemed to release some sort of inner-children as we found ourselves (literally) spinning on a playground, and riding small bright colored animals. I suppose the pictures may better describe the night...
