Mavericks

Early arrival around 7:30 am.
Setup on major unstableness.
Lots of people who don't surf showed up.
We turned to tech•gnar•logy to see better.
Swell was growing, tide was dropping.
Harry potter is still more popular than surfing...

So is sleeping...
So are cellphones...
News teams were all over the sky.
People were washed away...which made big headlines.
An extra set of eyes.

We got the call...Rick was going to take us out...but we had to run to the harbor with all our gear. Did I mention we were pretty drunk by this point?
It was brutal, but worth it after we caught air off some waves in the channel just trying to get out.
Bust or Bail.
Peter Mel
Waterworld patrol to the rescue

That is a big camera for a tiny boat. Good luck.
This is a pitcher, not a belly itcher.
Shaka Zulu.
These people were crazy...the channel was pumping..and they were eating our smoke the whole way in.
Buoy-ya

Carlos Burle on the best wave we saw in the finals...don't think he made it to the shoulder.

Rad! My husband was on the Huli Cat shooting. It was cool for us to see the perspective of the boat from your boat. What an epic experience. I liked your pics.
